Dear colleagues,
The 3rd Joint Meeting of Veterinary Science in East Asia will be held from May 1-3, 2023, at the international conference hall , National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. A memorable 1st and 2nd joint meeting was held at Seoul National University and Konkuk University last two years respectively and all the participants from Taiwan, Japan, and Korea discussed common recent issues of veterinary medicine. I think this will be a good opportunity to introduce NPUST to participants from Korea and Japan. NPUST, located on a hillside in northeastern Neipu Township in Pingtung, occupies 285 hectares adjacent to Da-Wu Mountain and Dong-Gang Creek with the largest and most beautiful campus in the nation. NPUST has enjoyed the reputation of being a “National Park University.” The campus is impressively gorgeous like a natural park possessing countryside characteristics with extensive fields of view, picturesque scenery, and peaceful atmosphere. By holding joint conferences in these three countries, we are aiming to give opportunities especially for students and junior scholars to make presentations in English.
The 3rd Joint Meeting of Veterinary Science in East Asia will focus on various aspects of veterinary medicine. Avian influenza virus, classical swine fever and African swine fever are the hot topics in this Tri-lateral Consortium. In addition, animal vaccine and biologics, raised without antibiotic in food animals, conservation medicine of wild animals, and companion animals medicine will also be discussed. Since COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, the topic of coronavirus infection in animals remain an important subject of intensive research. I believe you will find the scientific program both interesting and exciting. We also hope the meeting will provide a platform for scientists, professionals, veterinarians and corporate sponsors to interact with each other and exchange the most updated information, ideas and experience to improve animal health.
